Rain
By Bishop Fred Akama
In the Bible, rain often signifies the blessings of God that empowers one to prosper.
The good news is that the rain of God’s blessings can be TRIGGERED. And there are different ways we can do this.
First off, God in His mercy, gives us what we call COMMON BLESSINGS. These are blessings that accrue to you by virtue of being a HUMAN BEING, the creation of God. Matthew 5:45 says our Father in heaven causes it to rain on the RIGHTEOUS and the UNRIGHTEOUS. On the JUST and the WICKED. So you find even those who don’t regard God at all also have a measure of God’s blessings.
Another way of triggering rain is by GIVING. When you tithe, God opens the windows of heaven. What comes down is rain.
A less talked about rain trigger is WORK. When you put into a venture proper WORK, your DILIGENCE will trigger rain of God’s blessing.
Genesis 2:5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground
God withheld RAIN. For there was no one to WORK. It’s written a man diligent in his work will stand before kings. And will not stand before mean men. It’s also written if you don’t WORK, don’t EAT.
Be encouraged. Get up. Go out there. Find something to DO. And thereby give God something to send rain on. Laziness is UNGODLY. Even when camouflaged under the guise of ‘praying’ and waiting on God’ about it.
I pray for the work of your hands. Your efforts shall not be in vain. In Jesus precious Name.Amen. #share.
