Why the name TOT?

TOT stands for Tent of Testimonies.

It is derived from Numbers 9:15 which reads: “The Cloud and the Fire Now on the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the Testimony; from evening until morning, it was above the tabernacle like the appearance of fire.”

Who is PFA?

PFA in full is Prophet Fred Akama, the overseer of TOT and Tushiyah Ministries. PFA is also an ordained bishop. The prophet is a gift to the TOT and the Church. Ephesians 4:11 states, “He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers

Why do TOT members call PFA, Papa and the senior pastor, Mama?

The names/ titles are used as a sign of respect, alluding to them being spiritual parents

What is DPFA and SPFA?

DPFA is an abbreviation for daughter of prophet Fred Akama. SPFA is an abbreviation for Son of Prophet Fred Akama.

What’s the purpose of the gift card given to first timers?
The gift cards are a point of contact.

 

Just like the handkerchief and aprons that merely touched the skin of Paul were placed on sick people, and they were healed of their diseases and evil spirits were expelled.

 

Reference: Acts 19:12: “so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.”
As a first timer, what’s the reason for sharing out our phone numbers?

The reason we ask for phone numbers is that we like to keep in touch and also invite you to TOT WhatsApp groups where we share most of the teachings, and also we have different categories of groups where you can be placed. E.g. cell groups and Y-Church

What is katalambano?
Katalambano is a word used to mean i make it my own, to take into one’s self and take possession of. Also it can mean to understand,perceive, learn and comprehend.

 

Let’s say someone is testifying of a miracle, you can say I katalambano.
Why do people give out their testimonies?

Sharing your testimony is a way of showing what God has done in your life, and also to boost someone else faith who is trusting God for the same or similar thing.

How to become a member

To become a member of Tushiyah Ministry, follow these steps:

  1. Attend Services: Start by attending services at any of the Tent of Testimonies branches. This will give you a feel for the ministry’s culture, teachings, and community.
  2. Connect with Leaders: Introduce yourself to the church leaders and express your interest in becoming a member. They can provide you with more information about the ministry and guide you through the membership process.
